Pipe replacement in Elche
If a new leak appears every few months, the water runs brown in the morning or the pressure keeps dropping, the problem is no longer a single fault: it is the installation. We replace water and waste pipes section by section or throughout the home.

When it is time to replace
- Leaks keep appearing in different places
- Brown or rusty water when you first open a tap
- Pressure has dropped although the rest of the building is fine
- Galvanised steel or, in very old houses, lead pipes
- Cast-iron or asbestos-cement waste stacks that leak
- Waste pipes with too little fall that block again and again
What we install
- Hot and cold water pipes for the whole home, or one bathroom or kitchen
- Kitchen, bathroom, washing machine and dishwasher waste pipes
- Sections of soil stack inside your home
- Supply pipe from the meter to the main stopcock
- Isolation valves per zone, so each bathroom can be shut off
- Outdoor pipes for patios, terraces, villas and country houses
A real job: new washing machine waste
The old washing machine waste was worn and the hose barely fitted. We replaced it with a new 40 mm PVC elbow and connector so the hose stays secure, with no splashes or smells.

Valves and fittings that warn you
Before a pipe bursts, valves and fittings usually give signs: rust, green crust, limescale and peeling chrome.

Older buildings in Elche
A large part of Elche grew very fast between the 1950s and 70s, when thousands of families came to work in the shoe industry. Neighbourhoods such as Carrús, El Pla and Altabix filled with quickly built blocks using galvanised pipes and asbestos-cement stacks.
Half a century later those pipes are rusted inside: the bore narrows, pressure drops and pinholes leak inside the walls. Patching section by section costs more in the long run than renewing the bathroom, the kitchen or the whole flat.
On the coast, apartments from the 1980s and 90s are younger, but salt air attacks valves and fittings, as the photos above show.
Materials we use, and why
Multilayer: does not rust, resists limescale far better than steel and bends, so it needs few joints. What we fit most in homes.
PPR: very tough with hot water and limescale, heat-welded joints. Good for exposed runs and country houses.
Copper: we keep it or extend it where it already exists in good condition.
PVC: for waste pipes and stacks, laid with the correct fall so they do not block again.
Pipe replacement: FAQ
Do you have to rip up the whole flat?
Not necessarily. Often the new pipe can run through a false ceiling, along the skirting or by a different route, opening up only at connection points.
