Tap, cistern and toilet repairs in Elche
A tap dripping all night, a cistern that never stops filling or a toilet that rocks when you sit down. Small faults that show up on the water bill, and that we usually fix in a single visit.

What we do
- New kitchen, basin, bidet and shower mixers
- Thermostatic mixers and shower columns
- Cistern repairs: float, flush valve, push button and seals
- Concealed cisterns and their flush plates
- New toilets, basins and bidets
- New flexible hoses and angle valves
- Stopcocks that will not close or that drip
- Supply valves for washing machines, dishwashers and fridges
Limescale: the root cause
Around Elche almost every tap and cistern fault has the same cause: limescale. It builds up in the tap cartridge, which starts to drip or get stiff; it blocks aerators, so taps splutter; and it hardens cistern seals until they no longer close.
So when we change one part, we check the rest of the tap or cistern too. If limescale is a problem all over the house, we can explain what a water softener would do.

Common faults and the fix
- Cistern keeps filling: float or inlet valve furred with limescale
- Trickle into the bowl: hardened flush valve seal
- Tap drips when closed: worn cartridge
- Weak flow: limescale in the aerator or a half-closed angle valve
- Toilet rocks: loose fixings or a damaged pan connector, which can leak downstairs
Repair or replace?
A good-quality mixer is repaired by changing the cartridge. With a cheap or very old tap, the spare can cost nearly as much as a new tap.
Cisterns are similar: if the ceramic is fine, a complete new mechanism makes it as good as new for little money. We tell you which option is better before doing anything.
You can buy the tap yourself if you prefer: just send us the model first so we can check it suits your installation.
Taps and toilets: FAQ
How much water does a running cistern waste?
A lot: a constant trickle can mean hundreds of litres a day. If you hear the cistern filling without using it, get it checked.
Can you check all the taps before my holiday let opens?
Yes. We go through taps, cisterns, hoses and valves, change what is worn and send you a summary with photos.
Do you repair concealed cisterns?
Yes. We access them through the flush plate opening and most parts can be changed without breaking tiles.
Which areas do you cover?
Elche, Arenales del Sol, El Altet, Torrellano, Santa Pola and Gran Alacant, Crevillent, Aspe and Novelda.
