Emergency plumber in Elche
When water will not stop or you have no working toilet, you cannot wait until next week. Emergencies go ahead of all other work: call us and we tell you when we can be there and what to do meanwhile, in English.
What counts as an emergency
- A burst pipe or flexible hose
- Water coming through to the flat or shop below
- The only toilet in the house blocked or overflowing
- Waste water coming up through the shower or floor drain
- No water in the house because of a fault or a failed pump
- A water heater leaking from the bottom or tripping the electrics
- A stopcock that will not close when you need it
While you wait for us
- Turn off the main stopcock (llave de paso). It is usually in the kitchen, bathroom or by the meter on the landing or outside. In villas, also switch off the pressure pump.
- Switch off the electricity at the fuse box if water reaches sockets, lights or the board.
- Warn the neighbour below if water could be reaching their home.
- Mop up with towels and buckets and move furniture and appliances.
- Take photos and video: they help us come prepared and you will need them for the insurer.
How we handle an emergency
We answer
By phone or WhatsApp. We ask what is happening and where, and guide you to shut off the water if you have not yet.
We stop the damage
First thing on arrival: stop the water. Close, cap or unblock so the home is usable again.
Price and repair
With everything under control, we explain the permanent repair and its price. If it can be done there and then, we do it.
The emergencies we see most
Burst flexible hoses. The braided hoses under sinks and toilets rust from limescale and sea air and burst without warning, often at night or in an empty apartment.
Flooded holiday apartments. In Arenales del Sol, El Altet or Santa Pola a neighbour reports water coming from a closed flat. If the owner is abroad, we arrange access and send them photos.
Villas with no water. A pump that will not start or a faulty pressure switch leaves a villa or country house completely dry. We check it and, if the pump is beyond repair, give you replacement options.
Blocked soil stacks in older blocks. When the shared stack blocks, everyone's waste water comes out of the lowest drain in the building.
About the price of an emergency call
An emergency costs more than a planned job, because we have to drop what we are doing and travel straight away. That is why we tell you the call-out charge on the phone before we set off.
On site we stop the damage first and give you the price before the permanent repair. If you prefer to check with your insurer or get another quote, we leave everything safe with no water escaping.
We work every day, weekends and bank holidays included, from 7:00 to 21:30.
Emergencies in second homes and rentals

We take emergency calls every day of the year from 7:00 to 21:30. If something happens at night, close the stopcock and send us a WhatsApp: you will be among the first jobs in the morning.
How fast can you get here?
It depends on where you are and how the day is going. When you call we give you an approximate arrival time so you can plan.

I cannot find the stopcock. Where is it?
In flats it is usually in the kitchen or bathroom, sometimes next to the meter on the landing. In villas, by the meter at the street or in a small box in the garden. Call us and we will help you find it.

Yes, stating the cause and the repair, with photos if you need them.
